Toxic Connections

Let's talk about toxic connections πŸ˜πŸ€”πŸ’
...
Toxic relationships, friendships, colleagues and relatives.
... I was discussing this with a client the other day and felt that I had to do a post on it.
⚠️
We often hear stories and hope that we will never go on to experience such things but the truth is we have all at one point or another had to endure an awful experience with someone that we once loved, trusted, respected or held close to our heart.
🚫
In life people will come and go, some come in to love us, bring out the best in us or help us grow and others come in to hurt, trigger and challenge us which inevitably forces us to heal the unhealed parts of our being and teaches us to love ourselves, recognise our true value and self worth.
... Regardless of what the situation may be; we all grow through what we go through.
⚠️
Observe the people around you, notice how they make you feel, do you feel positive and elated OR ...
Do you feel angered and drained both mentally & emotionally when in their presence??
If the answer to my last point is a yes... that's a clear indication that this is an unhealthy connection and you need to question whether or not this person should remain in your life.
🚫
Toxic people tend to project how they feel on to others, whether it's their negative perceptions, unhappiness or insecurities.
... Will you continue to give them the power to upset and unsettle you or will you stand up for yourself and decide NO MORE and that enough is enough?
⚠️
You are NOT selfish for limiting contact or even choosing to cut ties with people that disturb your inner peace and leave you feeling depleted.
Prioritise your mental health, let go and detach from people that throw you off balance.
🚫
Move forward and create space for better to enter.
Sending positive energy your way πŸ’š
